MLB to Allow In-Market Streaming

But one smaller issue is being fixed for the 2016 season – MLB will allow fans to stream games in-market. The catches are that only Fox and MLB have reached an agreement (sorry, Comcast), and that you must have an authenticated login to stream the games (sorry, cord cutters).

And yes, the San Diego Padres are finally part of this deal thanks to Fox. Here's the hoping that the team actually gets better. Still disappointed about trading Kimbrel away but the prospects we got in exchange are promising1.

  • Promising that we'll build them up in our farm team then trade them away like every Major League Farm Team to either the Dodgers, Giants, Yankees or Red Sox. We love doing that.

  • My Solution to "UnPlugging"

I have compiled a small list of "what to get" for those wanting to "unPlug." It can seem daunting at first, but in order to stay connected to television and disconnected from the absorbently high cable bill, it's going to take a tad.

When I say tad, I mean just around $50 - $75 (more for aesthetics) for the antenna. It's going to cost a bit more if you actually want to record shows OTA (over the air) and then a little bit more in order to download them and watch them on your iPhone (which is actually pretty awesome.)

Here is the list and as always, you could help out elijahnicolas.com but using the links provided below or in my amazon store. Thanks! If anything, go with the either antenna and the Tivo Roamio first. You can get the Tivo Stream later or even if that's important at all to you.

The Tivo Roamio, Moku HD Antenna, Amazon Basic HD Antenna, & Tivo Stream are also in my Amazon Store. This makes it easier to check out all the individual links in one space. Enjoy!

    TV Binge Planning

Since the possibility of me being in New York in February at an unknown crashpad location within 2 hours of JFK (and apparently LGA?), I’m starting to plan my time wisely. Not only will I be blogging a bit more here and there but I’ll have some time to read and study and of course, binge watch some television. Wired just released a “How To” on binge watching Star Trek The Original Series and since I wasn’t a huge fan of that series, I thought I’d give it a shot. Why not? Of course, there are these really bad episodes to get through too. =(

I forget to mention, Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown is pretty awesome and you can bet that I’ll be catching up on that too! Catch all four seasons on Amazon($) or watch the first three on Netflix. Season five is currently filiming and I’ll admit, the first few have been pretty awesome. I can’t say that I actually watched all his other shows religiosly, but this one, it’s fantastic! Take my word for it.

What shows are you binge watching or planning to binge watch? If you want to plan out how long it'll take, check out tiii.me. Others in my list include catching up on Arrow & Flash, finishing up House of Cards (which I've been saving) and The Wire. If you like anime, CrunchyRoll is pretty random and amazing. I'll have some posts about my latest series that I'm watching.
