Banned!

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), today announced it is issuing an emergency order to ban all Samsung Galaxy Note7 smartphone devices from air transportation in the United States. Individuals who own or possess a Samsung Galaxy Note7 device may not transport the device on their person, in carry-on baggage, or in checked baggage on flights to, from, or within the United States. This prohibition includes all Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices. The phones also cannot be shipped as air cargo. The ban will be effective on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at noon ET.

It's serious. Don't mess around and even think about showing up to the airport with Samsung's Note 7! (Bold is my formatting)

A Fatigued Airline

The Emirates airlines’ management displays a callous disregard for the needs of its pilots, an ex-Emirates pilot told RT on condition of anonymity, stressing that none of the “many fatigue reports” he filed were taken seriously. Additionally, he was told that his promotion was delayed because he had “called sick and… fatigued too often.”

Seriously. Why would anyone knowingly put their lives on an airline that has blatant disregard for their pilots? Now, in wake of the FlyDubai crash, many pilots are finally voicing their concerns through the media.

A Comical but Spot On "Living the Dream" Skit of Being an Airline Pilot Done by Legos

Just this morning, as I'm walking through the gate down to the aircraft, a passenger approaches me and asks if he could board. I mean, sure but we aren't even on the plane ourselves yet and since we are running late, yes, we will be a tad late on the other side. Out of my control really but I do my best. I love our guests.
